The Boston Federal Reserve is reporting that in the 2nd quarter New England economic activity continued improving, at a slower rate. New England unemployment rate remained 4.4 percent. Several economic indicators, such as housing prices, continued to post increases but all seem to be moderating. The fastest growing sector in New England was Construction. Perhaps this is a seasonal observation. Surprisingly manufacturing it increased modestly. New Hampshire retained its position as the state in the region with the lowest unemployment rate @ 2.7%.
